What's required?

The only requirement is that you have your own domain name (yourcompanyname.com, etc.) - but if you don't we can get that organized for you also. The service will not work with services such as AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, MSN, etc. If you've got your own domain - SpamSlaughter is your solution!

How do I set it up?

After signing up, the process is quite simple - all you need to do is direct your domain name's MX records to our filtering network. (We can help you at no extra charge, it only takes minutes to complete.)

How reliable is it?

SpamSlaughter is housed in a secure datacenter in Chicagoland, on an OC-12 internet backbone - guaranteeing a 99.99% uptime for your inbound e-mail services. We even offer you extra peace of mind -- if your local e-mail server is to "go down" or become unresponsive for any reason at all, SpamSlaughter will hold all of your inbound e-mails until your server(s) recover.

How am I notified of spam?

When SpamSlaughter detects a Spam e-mail, we won't deliver it to your inbox. Many services and programs simply deliver the message with a tag saying "**SPAM**" or similar - but your inbox will still fill up with garbage! SpamSlaughter will not deliver it, but quarantine it and summarize it for you in a once-daily summary report that's emailed to you at 4:00 AM CDT, allowing you to:

- View the "Spam"
- Release the Spam from our secure quarantine into your inbox
- Release the Spam, and report to our servers that it's not really spam.

What about viruses?

Since SpamSlaughter was deployed, ZERO viruses were reported through our filtering system.
